Appeal for information following theft of high-value bikes in Poole |

|
Officers are appealing for information after two high-value bicycles were stolen in Poole and are issuing advice to bike owners.
Two bikes worth several thousand pounds were stolen from a garage at a residential property in Canford Cliffs area some time between 12.30pm on Monday 25 May and the morning of Friday 5 June 2026.
The stolen bikes were a black and grey Giant Defy Advance 2 road bike and a black and silver Giant Avail Advance road bike.
Police Constable Bev Beck, of the Poole Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.
“I am issuing images of the stolen bikes and would urge anyone who comes across similar bicycles being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances to please contact us.
“While I am not suggesting the victim here was in any way at fault, I would also like to take this opportunity to urge owners of high-value bicycles to remain vigilant and consider taking additional security measures to protect their items.
“Be wary of sharing your regular travel routes and home address on social media or publicly accessible apps and be aware of anyone who may be carrying out surveillance or otherwise acting suspiciously while you are out cycling. I would also ask owners ensure bikes are stored in a secure place, ideally with additional locks.
“Please also keep an eye out for regular bike marking events that are held by local neighbourhood policing teams where owners can ensure any bikes that are stolen are easier to trace. These will be advertised on local policing social media pages.
“Bikes can also be registered online via the National Cycle Database or the Immobilise website.”
